Porcelain, engineered to take a beating.
A dense ceramic surface fired at extreme temperatures — virtually immune to scratches, heat, UV fading, and stains, and equally at home indoors or out.
Fired, not quarried
Porcelain slabs are made from fine clay and mineral powders, pressed under enormous force and fired at temperatures well over 2,000°F. That process fuses the material into an extremely dense, glass-like ceramic — harder and less porous than almost any natural stone.
Because porcelain is manufactured, it can be produced in very large, thin slabs and printed with high-resolution patterns that mimic marble, concrete, or wood — giving designers a wide range of looks without the natural-stone limitations on slab size or color availability.

Modern, consistent, UV-stable
Porcelain leans into clean, matte finishes and large-format slabs with minimal seams. Because color is printed rather than natural, it won't fade in direct sun — a real advantage for outdoor kitchens and sunny Grand Strand patios where natural stone can bleach over time.
Wipe and go
Porcelain is about as low-maintenance as a countertop gets — no sealing, and it resists stains, scratches, and heat better than almost any alternative. It is more brittle at the edges than natural stone, so care is taken during fabrication and install to avoid chipping corners.
