Do you handle the engineering and permits?

Yes. Structural engineering, architectural drawings, permitting, and zoning are all part of the project. An addition changes how your home carries load, so this is not a step we ever cut corners on.

Can you match the addition to my existing house?

That is the whole goal. We blend rooflines, siding, windows, and finishes so the new space reads as original. Where an exact material match is not available, we will show you the closest options before you decide.

Should I add up or add out?

It depends on your lot, your foundation, and what you need. Adding out needs room on the lot; adding up needs the existing structure reinforced. We assess feasibility and walk you through the trade-offs before anything is drawn.

How long does an addition take?

Most run 2–5 months on site, depending on size, foundation, and complexity. Design, engineering, and permitting happen before that. We give you a realistic schedule up front, not an optimistic one.

Can we stay in the house during the work?

Usually, yes. We keep the existing home weather-tight and sealed off from the active construction, and clean up daily. For larger tie-ins there may be short stretches that are noisier or dusty, which we will flag ahead of time.

Can an addition pay for itself as a rental?

It can. In-law and guest suites with their own bath and entry are popular on the Grand Strand for exactly this reason. We can design the space to be rental-ready if that is your goal.
